Back in 2002, Frank needed help putting together a booth at Showtime – looking back, I’m 99% positive that I was 0% help, but Frank must have seen a glimmer of hope!
That next summer, Frank hired me as the handy-man. I cleaned the warehouse, worked the fork lift, help package and ship leather, etc. First day on the job - Frank put me in charge of straightening up our leather pallets. I decided it would be a lot easier to fold the leather on the floor. Frank caught me…and that was the first time (of many) that he gave me a piece of his mind. I quickly learned that it wasn’t a bright idea to fold $500 hides on a floor that was as dirty as a NYC subway platform.
Over the next four summers I would work for Tiger. I would keep up the landscaping around warehouse, assist Jacqueline in the sample department or work with Rob in the warehouse.
After college, Frank offered me the opportunity to move to NYC and work for Tiger. I was a small town kid moving to the big city. It feels like yesterday that I was throwing leather on the warehouse floor, attempting to fold it. It has been a fun ride thus far! I cannot wait to see what the future holds for me and Tiger. Embrace the REVOLUTION!
